Their flagship publication, Canadian Securities Exchange Magazine, features the stories of business leaders and entrepreneurs in the capital markets, providing discourse around the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities within a specific game-changing sector, including mining, technology, psychedelics, cannabis, and plant-based foods.

Putting words to page to amplify good

Make The World Better Magazine is Sparx’s digital and print publication, which shares the incredible stories of organizations and individuals that are driving positive impact. Each issue shines a light on game-changing initiatives to spark conversation, raise awareness, and inspire communities to work together to build a better future.

To create each issue, we start by reaching out to various impact-driven individuals and organizations we would like to feature based on the theme of the issue. Then, we design flatplans, copyedit interviews, write articles to match the theme, and meticulously craft every page.

Upon publication, we release social media content and blog posts to announce the launch, highlight featured companies and individuals, and further amplify the good that’s being done by our featured guests.

Collaborating on a special Wellbeing Economy issue

We had the pleasure of working with internationally-renowned experts in purpose and wellbeing, Dr. Victoria Hurth and Professor Lorenzo Fioramonti, for a special Wellbeing Economy issue of Make The World Better Magazine.

While Sparx provided copyediting, design, and project management, the companies, organizations, and content in this edition were curated by Dr. Victoria Hurth and Professor Lorenzo Fioramonti. The duo also penned two in-depth editorials that bring into hyperfocus the perils of maintaining a “business as usual” approach and offer the clearest arguments in favour of pursuing a Wellbeing Economy.

Providing accessible DIY investing news by going to the source

A one-stop resource for self-directed investors, from newbies to seasoned traders, Sparx Trading provides valuable information on the latest news, up-to-date promotions, and educational material within the Canadian online brokerage space.

Seeing a need for unbiased, straightforward information for Canadian self-directed online investors, Sparx Trading was born and became Sparx Publishing Group’s first marketing case study.

Look Back Look Ahead is Sparx Trading’s one-of-a-kind publication and magazine adaptation of the Look Back / Look Ahead content series. The series offers in-depth articles written by senior executives from Canadian online brokerages, providing unique perspectives on the Canadian online investing space and frank advice. Each issue also offers highlights from the previous year and previews what investors can look forward to in the coming year.

To create each issue, we start by reaching out to senior executives we would like to feature. Then, we design flatplans, copyedit articles, write additional copy, and design a cover that creatively depicts Sparx Trading’s signature bull and the bear characters in reimagined movie scenes.

Featured articles and digital companion series are posted on the Sparx Trading blog and each publication is accompanied by social media announcements.

Work With Us Foundation is a charity that provides employment opportunities for Canada's historically-excluded populations and connects employers with diverse, untapped talent.

When they wanted to boost their efforts in creating inclusive and diverse workplaces, Sparx was ready to rise to the challenge. We helped Work With Us create a diversity and inclusion white paper as part of their marketing collateral.

Designed and written by Sparx on time and on budget, the document was made available as a free download on their website and print copies were also distributed.

Developing a guide for diverse hiring practices in the mining industry

TPD is a recruiting and staffing agency that has provided workforce solutions for over 40 years across both the US and Canada.

When TPD wanted to help mining companies attract and retain crucial roles through essential diversity and inclusion practices, they turned to Sparx. Working alongside TPD, we created a guide for promoting diverse hiring practices in mining.

Delivered on time and on budget, this white paper became the centrepiece of a marketing campaign that TPD entrusted to Sparx, which included a landing page and paid advertisements.

As a team of Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC)-certified professionals in creating content to make the world better, Sparx crafted this five-step guide to help organizations begin or improve their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) marketing performance and share their diversity story in the hopes of making their audience feel seen and heard while authentically expanding their reach.

Along with the white paper, we created a landing page and an email drip campaign to share our DEI marketing advice, with organizations downloading to learn more.
